Organizers prepare for biggest TRU Open House since before pandemic

KAMLOOPS – Thompson Rivers University is hosting its annual pre-orientation open house this Saturday (March 25).

According to the school, it will be the biggest they’ve had since before the pandemic.

“This is a great event for students who either don’t really know much about TRU and are a little bit curious or those who have already applied and know that they’re coming in the fall,” TRU Future Students Coordinator Amy Watters told CFJC News. “Maybe they applied and don’t know if they are coming in the fall, there is something for everyone”

The event will start at 9:30 a.m. outside of Old Main.

Until 2:30 pm, visitors will be able to tour the campus, meet faculty and students as well as learn about available resources.

“Every time we get to welcome prospective and applicant students onto campus it’s a lot of fun and it’s exciting to see them be able to explore and learn about TRU and get the information they need to make the decision that’s right for them,” Watters said.
