Chase man arrested, charges pending after alleged attack on dog

CHASE, B.C. — Charges are pending against a man arrested in an alleged attack of a dog in Chase Saturday.

RCMP Southeast District spokesperson Cpl. James Grandy has confirmed to CFJC Today that a 31-year-old Chase man was arrested for assault, mischief and killing or injuring an animal.

The man was taken into Chase RCMP detachment cells, then later released on an undertaking to appear in B.C. Provincial Court.

Grandy says the file is now in the hands of the B.C. Prosecution Service for charge determination.
