15 facilities in Interior Health with illness outbreaks, including 4 in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — Interior Health is awash with illness outbreaks in health facilities.
The health authority’s facility outbreak page listed no fewer than 15 facilities amid various outbreak protocols Tuesday morning (Mar. 14).
In Kamloops, there are four facilities experiencing gastrointestinal (GI) illness outbreaks: Ponderosa Lodge (declared Feb. 27), Pine Grove Lodge (Mar. 7), Overlander Residential Care (Mar. 8) and Kamloops Seniors Village (Mar. 13). There are a total of eight facilities with GI outbreaks within Interior Health.
Elsewhere, Gillis House in Merritt had a non-COVID respiratory infection outbreak declared Monday. It’s one of three facilities IH-wide with a non-COVID respiratory outbreak.
