Kamloops Firefighters, local brewery honour the past in fundraiser

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Firefighters’ Charitable Society have begun a new partnership with a local brewery to fundraise for international relief efforts and local health care.
In a news release Monday (March 13), Kamloops Firefighters say the “No. 1 Firehall Kolsch” beer from Iron Road Brewing pays tribute to Kamloops’ oldest surviving firehall.
The can features an archival photo of one of the 1911 motorized fire engines parked in front of what is now 354 Victoria St.
The Kamloops Firefighters say $2 from every four-pack will go towards its fundraising. The limited release “No. 1 Firehall Kolsch” is expected to be available this weekend.
