Kamloops Symphony’s executive director moving on to new role in Calgary
KAMLOOPS — The executive director for the Kamloops Symphony Society (KSO) will be leaving in mid-May.
In a news release, the society says Daniel Mills will move on from the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra (KSO) to become director of development at Arts Commons – Western Canada’s largest performing arts centre – in his hometown of Calgary.
According to the society, Mills delivered three consecutive balanced budgets during the COVID-19 pandemic. The society credits Mills for building relationships with fellow arts organization sin Kamloops, fostering a positive work environment and working with developers, Western Canada Theatre and the City of Kamloops in creating Kelson Hall and helping the KSO move to its new home.
