RCMP look into weekend stabbing on the Kamloops North Shore

KAMLOOPS — RCMP are investigating a weekend stabbing at the North Shore bus loop.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says it happened Saturday evening at about 6:15 p.m. Officers were called to the bus loop on Sydney Avenue for the report of an assault with a weapon.

Evelyn says the victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP are now asking for witness accounts or evidence.

“The area is known for high foot and vehicle traffic and as being somewhat of a hangout spot,” said Evelyn. “Anyone who has information, witnessed, or captured video that could help further this investigation, is asked to please contact police as soon as possible.”

  • Stocky build
  • Dressed in black clothing
  • Last seen running with a limp southbound on Tranquille Road
