Storm avoid elimination, win 4-2 over the Eagles

KAMLOOPS — With their season on the line, the Kamloops storm gave everything they had. Defeating the Sicamous Eagles as a result in game 5 by a score of 4-2 on Friday (Feb.24) at McArthur Park Arena.

The Eagles struck first blood at 6:34 thanks to Daniel Kroon with his third of the series. The Storm got themselves on the board eight minutes later as Peyton Kelly would tie the game at one heading into the first intermission.

The Storm would continue their goal scoring efforts in the second period, scoring two courtesy of Evan Clark and Cole Senum to give themselves a 3-1 lead heading into the third.

Warren Roberts-Lee would cut the Storm lead down by one with five minutes left in the third period, tallying his fifth of the series. Peyton Kelly however would re-extend the Storm lead by two and score the insurance marker at 18:22 as his club force a game 6.
