B.C. active transportation grants fund projects in Kamloops, Tk’emlups, Chase and Salmon Arm

VICTORIA — Projects in Kamloops, Tk’emlups te Secwepemc, Chase and Salmon Arm are among 74 across B.C. included in the latest round of provincial active transportation grants.

In Kamloops, a grant will help build a dedicated multi-use pathway along the west side of Highway 5A, between Laurier Drive and Hugh Allan Drive. The path will connect to existing sidewalks and pathways.

On the Tk’emlups reserve, planning will take place for a paved pathway along the west side of Mount Paul Way between Sarcee Street West and the Red Bridge.

Chase residents will soon see upgrades to a pedestrian lane that connects the sidewalk between Shuswap Avenue and Okanagan Avenue.
