Feb 14, 2023 | 9:59 AM

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops police officers and local supports will brave the bitterly cold water of the Thompson River for Special Olympics BC at the end of the month.

Kamloops RCMP say they will partake in the Polar Plunge, Special Olympics BC’s fundraiser, in Pioneer Park on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 11:00 a.m. The goal is to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics BC athletes.

Kamloops recently hosted the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games, which saw nearly 500 athletes compete from Feb. 2 to 4 at venues throughout the city.
