Trinity Western defends home court versus WolfPack volleyball
LANGLEY — The Trinity Western Spartans showed why they are the fourth ranked team on Friday (Feb 10) night, dispatching the visiting TRU WolfPack men’s volleyball team 3 sets to 1 (25-13, 25-17, 23-25, 25-21).
After dropping the first two sets, the ‘Pack were able to rally and take the third set 25-23 led by Sam Flowerdar who had a team high 12 kills. Rookie Gavin Margerison from Kelowna added in 7 kills of his own.
In the women’s contest, the Spartan were able to sweep the WolfPack in straight sets to improve their record on the season to 18-2.
TRU held their own in the first set versus the number one ranked Trinity Western dropping it by just 3 (25-22). However, the power of the Spartans was to much to handle they would close out the contest in three sets.
