Porsche impounded after it was clocked at 130 km/h on Summit Drive: Kamloops RCMP

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP impounded a sports car Saturday (Feb. 4) after radar showed it travelling 130 km/h on a city street.

At about 4:00 p.m., an officer in the detachment’s Municipal Traffic Unit was patrolling in the 700-block of Summit Drive when he saw a vehicle speeding up the hill.

The officer clocked the Porsche at 130 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

Once the officer caught up with the vehicle, the driver was issued a ticket for excessive speeding and the Porsche was impounded for seven days.
