KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP responded to approximately 342 public complaints from Friday (Jan. 27) to 9 a.m. on Monday (Jan. 30). Below are some incidents police attended.

North Shore streaker

A man was arrested then taken to hospital after he ran past the North Shore Kamloops RCMP detachment naked Sunday afternoon.

At around 3:15 p.m., police received reports of a disturbance involving a naked man running down the road near Regina Avenue.

He was arrested and placed inside a warm police vehicle, sent to cells, assessed by paramedics, and taken to the hospital for further assessment.

Missing tire after downtown hit-and-run

A man had his vehicle impounded and lost his license for 90 days after reportedly striking three parked vehicles with his black sedan.

On Sunday at around 1:30 a.m., RCMP were called to Battle Street West and First Avenue where they found the man nearby after he attempted to flee from the scene without his front tire.

Breath tests showed a “fail” reading, meaning a blood alcohol content exceeding .08.

Stolen truck recovered

A man was arrested after two people were found in a stolen blue Ford truck Sunday afternoon.

RCMP say a conservation officer up Jamieson Creek Forest Service Road found the truck reported as stolen from a Halston Avenue business on Thursday (Jan. 26).

The man was arrested for possession of stolen property and released with a court date.
