Kamloops Blazers double Prince George Cougars 4 – 2 in opener of weekend home and home
KAMLOOPS — Dylan Sydor scored two goals while Daylan Kuefler had a goal and two assists as Kamloops (21-6-3-2) won its seventh straight contest, defeating Prince George (14-16-3-0) Friday (Dec. 30) in Kamloops.
The loss was the Cougars eighth in a row.
The Blazers led 2 – 0 after the opening period before the Cougars’ Ethan Sampson scored his ninth goal of the year to cut the lead in half in the second period.
But Sydor’s second of the game and fourth of the season midway through the third period restored the two-goal cushion for the Blazers.
