Kamloops man wanted on warrants out of Kootenays arrested after alleged assault

KAMLOOPS — A 29-year-old Kamloops man was arrested after an alleged assault Saturday (Dec. 17) afternoon.
In a news release issued Tuesday (Dec. 20) morning, Kamloops RCMP say they responded to a motel on the 500-block of Columbia Street West where a disturbance report escalated to an assault.
Police say no charges were laid related to the assault, but the man was arrested on numerous unendorsed warrants.
A warrant out of Elk Valley includes charges of theft of a motor vehicle, break and enter, and driving while prohibited, while a warrant out of Cranbrook includes charges of assault by choking, assault, breach of probation, theft, and two counts of mischief.
