Monday police presence in Heffley Creek due to man with gun: RCMP
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are saying more about a major police presence in Heffley Creek Monday (Dec. 12).
In a news release, detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says officers were called to the 500-block of Tod Mountain Road at about 2:10 p.m. Monday for a man outside of a home with a gun.
Responding officers attended and eventually convinced the man to surrender and give up his weapon.
In the course of the response, RCMP shut down Tod Mountain Road and, Evelyn notes, informed Heffley Creek Elementary School.
