Olde Barley Market robbery leading Merritt RCMP to ask for public’s help

KAMLOOPS — A robbery took place Monday (Dec. 12) night that is leading Merritt RCMP to ask for the public’s assistance.

“There was a robbery at the Olde Barley Market last night, shortly after 10 p.m.,” Sgt. Josh Roda says. “A male went in with a stick and robbed the place.”

Police say the majority of what was taken was liquor and a little bit of cash.

No one was injured during the incident and RCMP describe the suspect as:

• approximately 5’5”
• black full zip hoodie
• grey cable-knit balaclava
• black cloth reusable bag
