Weekend for Kamloops RCMP includes vehicles recovered and stolen in Brocklehurst

KAMLOOPS —Kamloops RCMP responded to approximately 315 public complaints from Friday (Dec. 2) to 9:00 a.m. on Monday (Dec. 5). Below are some incidents police attended. from those reports.

Man arrested on warrant; car stolen out of Jasper recovered in Brocklehurst

Friday afternoon patrols led police to a vehicle reported stolen out of Jasper, and to a man wanted on an arrest warrant.

RCMP say an officer on the 1600-block of Centennial Drive saw a white Infiniti with an Alberta license plate that indicated it was stolen.

While the man was arrested for possession of stolen property, RCMP say police checked also indicated he was wanted on an arrest warrant. He was held in custody to appear in court, and the investigations are ongoing.

Firearms and truck stolen in Brocklehurst

RCMP are investigating after three firearms were stolen from a Jeep on Brocklehurst overnight Saturday.

Police say they were told that the Jeep’s window had been left slightly open while it was parked on Fifth Avenue.

Shortly after, police were told of a grey Chevrolet pickup truck stolen from the same parking lot. The truck is described as having two different side mirrors, damage to the rear right fender, and licence plate KR7969.

It’s unknown if the thefts are related.
