Blazers improve record with 3-0 win over Giants

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers inched up the standings once again with a win over the Vancouver Giants.

In the 3-0 win Friday at the Sandman Centre, the Blazers were able to improve their record to 13-5-3-1 which sits them third in the Western Conference Standings.

Blazers goalie Dylan Ernst stood his ground stopping each of the 38 shots he faced in the shutout.

Blazers star Logan Stankoven continued his scoring tendencies adding another goal and three assists to his season total.

Stankoven now has 40 points in 18 games played this season. He also has 16 goals in that total.

Kamloops now sits three points ahead of the Everett Silvertips in the conference standings who trail them with 27 points.

The Seattle Thunderbirds currently hold the second spot three points ahead of the Blazers.

With the loss, the Giants fall to 9-11-2-0 on the year placing them in the sixth in the conference.

The Blazers and Giants face off against one another again Saturday (December 3) in Langley.
