Schedule, ticket details unveiled for 2023 Memorial Cup in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — The schedule for the 2023 Memorial Cup in Kamloops has been unveiled.

In a news release issued Monday (Nov. 28) morning, the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) announced the Memorial Cup, hosted by the Kamloops Blazers at Sandman Centre, will run from Friday, May 26 to Sunday, June 4.

The Memorial Cup is a four-team, round-robin tournament that features the three regional champions from leagues operating under the CHL umbrella: the Western Hockey League (WHL), Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). The fourth participant is a hosting team, which will be the Blazers in 2023.

The full schedule is:

  • Friday, May 26 – QMJHL Champion vs. Kamloops Blazers – 6 p.m. PT
  • Saturday, May 27 – WHL Champion vs. OHL Champion – 3 p.m. PT
  • Sunday, May 28 – Kamloops Blazers vs. OHL Champion – 3 p.m. PT
  • Monday, May 29 – WHL Champion vs. QMJHL Champion – 6 p.m. PT
  • Tuesday, May 30 – OHL Champion vs. QMJHL Champion – 6 p.m. PT
  • Wednesday, May 31 – Kamloops Blazers vs. WHL Champion – 6 p.m. PT
  • Thursday, June 1 – Tie-Breaker (if necessary) – 6 p.m. PT
  • Friday, June 2 – Semi-Final – 7 p.m. PT
  • Sun., June 4 – Championship Final – 4 p.m. PT

Additionally, the CHL says ticket packages for the Memorial Cup will be available Thursday (Dec. 1). Full tournament packages to the Memorial Cup including all eight games, plus an if necessary tie-breaker, will be priced at $600 plus GST and applicable fees.

The CHL says more details regarding the 2023 Memorial Cup, including volunteer sign-up information, will be announced later.
