Blazers tie Cougars in standings with 4-1 win

PRINCE GEORGE — The Kamloops Blazers took a trip up to Prince George and are returning home with a win.

Winning 4-1, the Blazers see their record improve to 11-5-3-1 which ties them in points with the Prince George Cougars with 26 points.

The two teams sit knotted in the third seed in WHL’s Western Conference.

Prince George has the edge over the Blazers with total wins as their record sits at 13-10-0-0.

Despite outshooting the Blazers, the Cougars only managed to get one goal past Blazers Goalie Dylan Ernst on 35 shots.

The Blazers’ Caedan Bankier scored twice in the win while Matthew Seminoff added two assists and Ashton Ferster scored his first goal of the year.

Both the Blazers and the Cougars have the same point total with 26 but could both could easily fall in the standings as Everett trails them for the fifth seed with 25 points.

Now the Blazers return home welcoming Regina for a matchup with the Pats on Wednesday (November 30).
