RCMP seize guns, drugs from Westsyde home

KAMLOOPS — A stolen vehicle report last Wednesday (Nov. 16) led Kamloops RCMP officers to seize a number of other items.

In a news release, detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says Mounties responding to the stolen vehicle report just before midnight were led to a home in the 3000-block of Westsyde Road.

“With assistance from the frontline officers, the Kamloops RCMP Crime Reduction Unit obtained a search warrant for the residence which resulted in the seizure of six firearms, including one that was loaded, and another reported as stolen from Alberta,” said Evelyn. “Other stolen property and a small amount of illegal drugs were located as well.”

Four people were arrested without incident. One man has had charges recommended against him.
