At about 3:35 a.m. Friday, officers arrived at a home in the 800-block of Newman Street in Brocklehurst, responding to reports that a woman had barricaded herself inside and was making threats involving a gun.

Officers evacuated the home and a neighbouring home for precautionary reasons.

Making contact with the woman, officers found her to be cooperative and unarmed.

A pair of home invasion reports turned out to be false.

RCMP officers responded to a home on Ord Road at about 5:20 a.m. Friday where a woman stated there was someone wearing a black hoodie inside. Someone from the same address had made a similar report about 12 hours prior.

Officers confirmed there was no one inside and no home invasion had taken place.
