Valleyview gas leak leads to evacuation of 100 homes; Fortis BC on scene

KAMLOOPS — Emergency crews are dealing with a gas leak in Valleyview.

According to the City of Kamloops, the leak was called in at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 29). It was reported around Highland Road and Crescent Drive.

Kamloops Fire Rescue and Fortis BC are on scene.

The City says about 100 homes have been evacuated while crews fix the leak. It notes Community Services Officers are on scene to help evacuees.
