Interior Health COVID-19 outbreak list grows to six

KAMLOOPS — As October approaches, the number of health facilities in the Interior experiencing respiratory virus outbreaks is once again on the rise.

As of Wednesday morning (Sept. 28), the Interior Health website lists six facilities with active COVID-19 outbreaks.

Two of the outbreaks — at Deni House in Williams Lake and Polson Extended Care in Vernon — were declared on Tuesday (Sept. 27).

The remaining outbreaks are at Pleasant Valley Manor in Armstrong, Gateby Care Facility in Vernon, Mariposa Gardens in Osoyoos and the rehab ward at Kelowna General Hospital.

A multi-week outbreak at Ponderosa Lodge in Kamloops was declared over last week.
