Busy weekend in Kamloops expected as a slate of events takes over the city
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops residents will be kept busy on Saturday (September 17) as Riverside Park will host the VW Turtle Race for charity and the Children’s Art Festival.
Both events are back in person for the first time since 2019 and the proceeds from the Turtle Race support four Kamloops charities.
“Those charities will share equitably in each one of [the events]. The four charities this goes toward this year are the Chris Rose (Therapy Centre for Autism), the Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Centre, the Kamloops Brain Injury Association and the BC SCPA,” says organizer Bryce Herman.
