Weapons, drugs, and cash seized from Valleyview motel room after firearms report
KAMLOOPS — Police in Kamloops say weapons, cash, and drugs were seized after a report involving a firearm in the Valleyview area on Wednesday (Sept. 14).
In a release today (Sept. 16), Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says around 11:05 a.m Wednesday morning, frontline officers were called to the East Trans Canada Highway in the Valleyview area after a man had been seen running across the highway with a long gun, before getting into a truck.
Officers found the truck at a nearby motel, where they arrested its occupants and identified which motel room the man with the gun was suspected to be in.
“Police located three people, a firearm that had been reported stolen during an overnight theft from vehicle report, a loaded cross bow, cash, and approximately one kilogram of various suspected illegal drugs, including fentanyl and methamphetamine, inside of the room,” says Evelyn.
