Kamloops RCMP investigate stabbing that victim only reported three days later

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are investigating a stabbing that took place three days before it was reported.

Officers were sent to the 200-block of Royal Avenue Wednesday (Sept. 14), following in the footsteps of ambulance paramedics who were called to deal with a male stabbing victim.

The victim told officers the incident had occurred on Sunday in the 900-block of Columbia Street West. He didn’t give police a suspect description.

“The victim did not report the incident at the time, but eventually required medical assistance,” said Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn. “He is expected to recover from his injuries.”
