Blazers acquire forward Ferster from Medicine Hat

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers have added another forward piece to its Memorial Cup-bound lineup.

In a news release issued Tuesday morning (Sept. 13), the team announced the acquisition of 2003-born forward Ashton Ferster from the Medicine Hat Tigers. An eighth round selection in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft is going the other way.

The right-shot Ferster is listed at 6’4″, 200 lbs. He registered 19 points for the Tigers last season on nine goals and 10 assists.

“Ferster adds depth to the lineup as the Blazers are sending eight roster players to NHL camps this week,” the team noted.

Kamloops plays its last two preseason home games this week — Wednesday against Victoria and Friday versus Prince George.
