Four-way race for Cache Creek mayor; six candidates on council ballot

CACHE CREEK, B.C. — Some familiar names will be on the ballot for Cache Creek voters in this year’s municipal election.

The candidate list provided by CivicInfo BC shows four candidates vying for the mayor’s chair: incumbent Santo Talarico, former longtime mayor John Ranta, as well as councillors Wendy Coomber and Annette Pittman.

Talarico defeated Ranta and one other candidate in the 2018 vote.

There are six candidates for four council spots, including incumbent Sue Peters. Incumbent Lisa Dafoe is not running for re-election.

Peters is joined on the ballot by the following five candidates:

Candidates have until Friday, Sept. 16 to withdraw their names from the ballot.

The B.C. municipal elections will take place Oct. 15, 2022.
