Kamloops musicians aiding TNRL in new “Musician in Residence Series”

Sep 10, 2022 | 10:00 AM

KAMLOOPS — Local musicians are going to be lending a hand and a tune as part of the Thompson-Nicola Regional Library’s (TNRL) brand-new Musician in Residence Series.

The TNRL Musician in Residence Jeremy Kneeshaw will be hosting free engaging programs for other musicians starting September 14.

Kneeshaw will be teaching programs that include:

  • Performance 101;
  • Instrument Maintenance;
  • How to Set up A Recording Studio on a Dime; and
  • A Musician in Residence concert experience

Musicians can request free one-on-one consultations with the Musician in Residence, who will provide coaching and feedback.

Kneeshaw released his first album at the age of 19 and has played in venues throughout western Canada. He plays in five bands, that range from Blues, Country, and Bluegrass to Transcendence and genres in between.

Kneeshaw will be helping teach the next generation of young up-and-coming musicians the tricks of being an artist.

Following Kneeshaw, performing artists Margit Gossage and Tina Hebner will be the featured Musicians in Residence in October and November 2022. Those looking to attend a workshop can visit the calendar on the TNRL website.
