Province warns South Thompson, Fraser Canyon residents of wildfire smoke

KAMLOOPS — Some haze and smoke has returned to the Kamloops area.

The B.C. Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has issued a Smoky Skies Bulletin for the Fraser Canyon and South Thompson regions.

Over the next 24-to-48 hours, wildfire smoke is expected to drift into the area.

The bulletin notes conditions may vary as wind patterns shift during the day.

Those with respiratory sensitivities especially are advised to reduce their risks during smoky conditions and monitor their symptoms.
