Kamloops RCMP seize stolen van and bicycles from North Shore home
KAMLOOPS — A suspicious caravan parked on the 1200-block of 13th Street on the North Shore Wednesday (Aug. 24) morning led to police recovering stolen bicycles and a vehicle.
In a news release issued Wednesday evening, Kamloops RCMP say checks on the caravan’s license plate showed it belonged to a different vehicle.
Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says the person who reported the caravan did so after seeing a social media post about a stolen motorbike, believing the van to be related.
Officers attended a home and seized seven bicycles, five or which have been identified as stolen through serial numbers and other descriptors. RCMP say the suspicious van was reported stolen in Prince George.
