Nicola Valley Hospital ER closed Sunday to Monday due to limited physician availability

MERRITT — Residents are being advised of the closure of the Emergency department at the Nicola Valley Hospital due to limited physician availability.

From 8:00 a.m., Sunday (August 21) to 8:00 a.m. Monday (August 22), emergency services will be unavailable.

People in the community who need life-threatening emergency care are told to call 9-1-1 or visit the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops or Kelowna General Hospital.

“All other inpatient services will continue as normal at Nicola Valley Hospital,” the release reads.
