Teenager dies after ATV rollover in Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Williams Lake RCMP are investigating after an ATV rollover killed a 17-year-old girl.

Police say they attended the gravel area at the end of Gun a Noot Trail just after midnight on Sunday (Aug. 7) where paramedics and fire rescue were providing medical assistance. She was transported to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

While RCMP and BC Coroners Service continue to investigate, police say initial evidence gathered at the scene showed the girl was not wearing a helmet.
