Snotty Nose Rez Kids to headline free music festival at Tk’emlups Powwow Grounds Wednesday
TK’EMLUPS TE SECWEPEMC — Lytton-based 2 Rivers Remix Society was created to uplift contemporary Indigenous performers. Wednesday (July 6), it will take over Tk’emlups Powwow Arbour to host well-known, Juno-award winning artists alongside local musicians and artists.
“Snotty Nose Rez Kids and DJ Chub will be there, at the same night headlining the same show, but we also have some really incredible regional performers,” said 2 Rivers Remix artistic director Meeka Morgan.
“We have… the Margit Sky Project, Rod Bandura, Kym Gouchie from the Okanagan territory, Hasaatuk from the Nuu Chah Nulth territory and Ta’kaiya Blaney, who’s a performer and an activist.”
The festival will also feature food trucks, vendors and face-painting.
