Gary Maurice Bomstad

March 11, 1944 – April 26, 2022
Gary passed away peacefully on April 26, 2022 at 78 years of age.
He is survived by his two daughters:
Kisa Bomstad and spouse Glenn Kitchen, Kari Bomstad and spouse Randene Wejr;
Stepchildren:
Dean Willier, Karen Clarke;
Step grand daughter:
Gabbie Clarke;
His siblings:
Sue Granlund, Nancy Snyder, Linda Taylor, Dale Bomstad.
He is predeceased by his loving parents Maurice and Evelyn Bomstad, his sister Judy McIvor and his wife of 30 years, Lois Pinsent.
He was born in Willmar Minnesota, the first-born son of 6 children. He attended church and school where he excelled in baseball and football. He attended college and earned a degree in sociology as well as playing college ball. Later, he earned a ticket as a journeyman painter. He was an avid woodworker and artist by nature, designing and handcrafting 2 beautiful homes as well as pursuing a rewarding hobby and career as a local artisan.
He had 2 daughters with Fran Wells and spent more than 30 years in a loving relationship with his wife, Lois Pinsent.
He was incredibly loved by many; and had many friends who adored him. Even in his last moments , he was ever graceful, peaceful and inspiring and loved beyond measure.
A celebration of life in honour of both Gary Bomstad and Lois Pinsent will be held on June 25, 2022 at 1pm at the Williams Lake Longhouse.
Gary’s family would like to give thanks to his care team at Overlander Residences, for their exemplary care during his stay.
