Man who claimed his legs were blown off may have put his foot in his mouth
KAMLOOPS — RCMP say a supposed assault victim was exaggerating when he told emergency responders that his legs had been blown off.
In a news release, Cst. Crystal Evelyn says RCMP were called to the area of East Shuswap and Lafarge Roads at about 5:00 a.m. Tuesday (Apr. 26).
Once there, they found a man sitting in the road. He had obvious injuries, but his claims that his legs were “blown off” were not supported by the evidence. Evelyn says no major trauma was observed.
“The man was transported to hospital by ambulance and has since allegedly walked away, without participating further in the investigation,” said Cst. Evelyn.
