Bus crash in Kamloops under investigation

KAMLOOPS – Kamloops RCMP are investigating a serious crash involving a bus late Sunday afternoon (Apr. 24).

A witness reported seeing a badly damaged bus resting near a barber shop in the Brock Shopping Centre on Tranquille Road.

A nearby wooden power pole was badly damaged.

It is not clear who the bus is owned by. There are no visible labels on the vehicle.

Police, fire and ambulance personnel were at the scene.

There is no official word on injuries although a witness reported seeing at least one person receiving medical care in an ambulance.

Police are expected to release more information on how the crash occurred and many individuals were involved later today (Apr. 25).
