Alcohol suspected in fatal Williams Lake crash

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — RCMP say a woman died in a crash within Williams Lake city limits on the weekend.

Emergency responders were called to Mackenzie Avenue North near Rose Street at about 4:45 a.m. on Saturday (Apr. 16), where a Pontiac Sunfire had gone off the road. The driver, an adult woman, was pronounced dead.

RCMP say they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
