KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Blazers Captain Logan Stankoven tallied a goal and an assist in Saturday (April 16) night’s 5-2 over the visiting Vancouver Giants.

For Stankoven, he finishes the regular-season with 104 points which sits him at third overall in the WHL only behind Arshdeep Bains with 112 and Ben King with 105.

With 45 goals and 59 assists on the season, Stankoven joins the list of Blazers in the 100-point-club.

In the final Blazers game of the year, Kamloops seemed to not disappoint the 3,869 fans in attendance at the Sandman Centre as they will now play the Spokane Chiefs in the first round of the WHL playoffs.

Despite the loss, the Giants did secure a playoff spot which is good for the eighth seed in the western conference barely behind the Chiefs.

The Blazers finished the season just shy of 100 points, heading into the playoffs with 99 points.

Vancouver on the other hand finished with 53 points in a three-way tie with the Prince George Cougars and the Spokane Chiefs.

Game one goes Friday (April 22) at Sandman Centre at 7 p.m.
