B.C. records 281 COVID-19 hospitalizations Thursday, two new virus-related deaths

VICTORIA — The province is reporting 281 people hospitalized with COVID-19 as of Thursday (Mar. 31) and two new deaths.

According to Thursday’s update, hospitalizations increased by five from Wednesday (Mar. 30) and there are 42 people in intensive care (down by one).

Two new virus-related fatalities took place in the past 24 hours, both in Fraser Health, for a total of 2,998.

Additionally, two new health-care facility outbreaks have been identified at Parkview Place in Enderby and Monashee Mews in Lumby, for a total of nine facilities with ongoing outbreaks.
