Mar 20, 2022 | 10:30 AM

The Blazers shut out the Kelowna Rockets Saturday (March 19) in their fifth consecutive head-to-head win and ninth overall.

Logan Stankoven opened the scoring nearly three minutes in on the power play.

Blazer Connor Levis made it 2-0 with help from Fraser Minten and Mats Lindgren.

Daylan Kuefler went to the box for a roughing call, but Minten put away a short handed goal at 17 minutes into the first with an assist from Caedan Bankier and Ethan Brandwood.

The second period was quiet with no scoring.

In the third, the Rockets tried hard to catch up but the Blazers were running away with their lead. They sealed the game with a goal from Stankoven with just minutes left in the game.

The Blazers are now at 43-14-2-0 and are good for 88 points in 59 games. Next up, they host Kelowna again Friday (March 25) night.
