Kamloops RCMP investigate suspicious death in Dufferin

KAMLOOPS — RCMP are investigating a suspicious death in Dufferin.
At about 10:00 p.m. Thursday (Mar. 17), officers were called to the 1600-block of Monterey Place — a cul-de-sac off Hillside Drive — where they found a person dead inside a vehicle.
The detachment’s Serious Crime Unit, General Investigation Service Team, Forensic Identification Service, Police Dog Service and frontline officers are all assisting in the investigation. The B.C. Coroners Service is also investigating.
“Police are waiting on the results of an autopsy to confirm the victim’s identity,” said Staff Sgt. Todd Wiebe of the Kamloops RCMP Serious Crime Unit. “More information will be released to help further the investigation as it becomes available.”
