B.C. COVID-19 death toll grows by 14 Wednesday

VICTORIA — Even as hospitalization and case counts decrease, the COVID-19 pandemic is still taking a deadly toll on B.C.

According to the latest surveillance report provided by B.C.’s Ministry of Health, 14 more people have died of the virus in the past 24 hours. That raises the overall provincial death toll to 2,929.

Hospitalizations are down by 14 to 405, and the number of those in intensive care is down by five to 58.

The province reports 274 positive tests Wednesday (Mar. 9), including a B.C.-leading 84 in Interior Health.
