Kamloops RCMP arrest one person for impaired driving following Highway 1 crash on Monday

KAMLOOPS — A driver was arrested following a crash that affected traffic on the Trans Canada Highway in Kamloops Monday (March 7) evening.
Kamloops RCMP say a red vehicle travelling at a high speed read-ended a black vehicle in the westbound lane of Highway 1 at Oriole Road. No serious injuries were reported.
Cst. Crystal Evelyn told CFJC Today the driver of the red car was arrested for impaired driving and given a 24-hour driving prohibition for drug impairment. She adds a small number of suspect drugs were seized.
Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.
