COVID-19 hospital total drops below 500 in B.C.

VICTORIA — Hospitalization from COVID-19 has dropped below 500 total patients in B.C.

According to the latest surveillance report from the province’s Ministry of Health, there are 484 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 Friday (Mar. 4), a decrease of 27 from Thursday.

There are 69 people in intensive care, down by 10 from Thursday.

Eight more people have died of the virus, increasing the B.C. death toll to 2,903. One of the newly-recorded deaths occurred in Interior Health.
