One dead in logging truck collision near Barriere

BARRIERE, B.C. — One person is dead after a two-vehicle collision southeast of Barriere Tuesday (Mar. 1) morning.

According to Cpl. Mike Halskov of B.C. Highway Patrol, members of Barriere RCMP were called to Agate Bay Road near Heffley-Louis Creek Road at about 6:40 a.m.

There they found a loaded logging truck had collided with a passenger vehicle.

Halskov says an occupant of the passenger vehicle was killed in the crash. No details about the identity of the deceased are being made available.
