Shuswap crash kills mother and child from Okanagan Falls
SICAMOUS, B.C. — A T-bone collision in Sicamous Thursday (Feb. 17) claimed the lives of an Okanagan mother and child.
RCMP say the crash took place just after 9:00 a.m. Thursday in the 1800-block of Trans Canada Highway.
Investigators believe an eastbound pickup truck lost control and veered into the westbound lane. While the driver of a westbound tractor trailer unit tried to avoid the collision, he could not, and his rig T-boned the pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup, a 45-year-old woman from Okanagan Falls, and her child both died at the scene.
