COVID-19 hospitalizations dip below 800 in B.C.

VICTORIA — B.C. has seen another decrease in hospitalization due to COVID-19.

In its latest update, the province’s Ministry of Health says there are now 787 people in hospital due to the virus, a decrease of 16 from Monday. There are 124 patients in intensive care, an increase of five from Monday.

Two more people have died of COVID-19, both in Northern Health. The province’s death toll has reached 2,766.

The ministry says there were 287 new positive tests registered in Interior Health Tuesday (Feb. 15).
