Mount Ida Mews in Salmon Arm the latest care home with a COVID-19 outbreak

SALMON ARM, B.C. — A Salmon Arm care home is the latest to turn up on the Interior Health COVID-19 outbreak list.

IH says Mount Ida Mews in the Shuswap city had an outbreak declared on Tuesday (Jan. 18). The outbreak is confined to the home’s Chinook and Coho units.

Owned and operated by AgeCare, the 132-unit Mount Ida Mews is the 11th ongoing COVID-19 outbreak in IH, including Brocklehurst Gemstone in Kamloops.
